The Sa'adu Zungur University's Entrepreneurship Development Center was officially launched at the Yuli Campus in Bauchi. The Director of the Center, Dr. Salisu Ibrahim Waziri, stated that the center was established to provide excellent services to the university community, particularly students. The center offers various services, including skills acquisition training, vocational training, mindset development programs, and security affairs.

Dr. Waziri noted that the center aims to bridge the gap between the demand for and supply of labor in the market. He emphasized that many graduates lack skills, despite having certificates, and that the center seeks to address this issue. The center collaborates with government agencies, international and national entrepreneurship experts, and professional entrepreneurs to provide students with the necessary skills to become self-reliant.

The Entrepreneurship Development Center has partnered with various organizations, including the Bauchi State Government, NDA, ETF, and small and medium enterprise development agencies. The center has also collaborated with local trainers and entrepreneurs to provide students with practical skills. Additionally, the center plans to host a trade fair annually to showcase products and attract business experts, government representatives, and political leaders.

The center's focus on job creation and skills acquisition was also highlighted. Dr. Waziri noted that the center has collaborated with Danbaba Welding and Fabrication Center, a company that provides job opportunities to youth and students. The center has also partnered with YOUR AGRO, an organization that will provide materials and equipment to 500 female students and issue them certificates upon completion of the program.

In conclusion, Dr. Waziri thanked the guests, security agencies, and everyone involved in the launch of the Entrepreneurship Development Center. He emphasized that the center aims to provide solutions to existing problems in the society and the university community. The center's launch marks a significant step towards promoting entrepreneurship and job creation among Nigerian youth and students.
