Prince Adebayo's Comments Unfortunate, Lack Electoral Value - YouthsCoalition

The Coalition of Nigerian Youths for Good Governance has described the statements made by former SDP presidential candidate Prince Adewole Adebayo as unfortunate. We find it disturbing that a politician of his stature would make comments that seem to undermine the efforts of opposition parties coming together to form a coalition for the 2027 elections.

In a statement signed by the National coordinator of the forum Engr. Benga Johnson Bologun in Lagos, the group expressed disappointment over Prince Adebayo's stance on the coalition efforts.

It's clear that Prince Adebayo is out of touch with the Nigerian people, particularly the youth, who are eager for change and good governance. His assertion that SDP won't be a vehicle for conspiracy against Tinubu's government is a clear indication that he lacks the vision and leadership qualities required to rally Nigerians behind a cause.

We recall that in the last election, Prince Adebayo lost woefully even at his polling unit, failed to flag off his national campaign, and didn't launch a national campaign office or tour any state in the federation. This raises questions about his electoral value and credibility.

The SDP's fate lies in the hands of Nigerians, who will decide its destiny in the next election. We're confident that Nigerians will make informed decisions about their future, not Prince Adebayo, who seems to be out to discourage the party and its leadership.

Prince Adebayo's comments on President Tinubu's security chiefs being incompetent are a clear admission that the opposition has a role to play in holding the government accountable. However, his tone and approach seem more focused on personal gain than genuine concern for Nigerians.

The Coalition of Nigerian Youths for Good Governance believes that Nigerians deserve better leadership, and we won't be swayed by politicians like Prince Adebayo who seem more interested in self-promotion than serving the people.

We urge Nigerians to disregard Prince Adebayo's comments and instead focus on the efforts of opposition parties working together to bring about positive change. The SDP's strength lies in its ability to connect with Nigerians and offer a viable alternative to the current government.

In conclusion, we call on Prince Adebayo to refocus his efforts on serving Nigerians rather than pursuing personal interests. The Nigerian people deserve better, and it's time for politicians to prioritize the needs and welfare of the citizens.
