Youths Call Out Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi Over Unfulfilled Promises as 2027 Governorship Bid Approaches
By: Daure David
With the 2027 Governorship Election in Bauchi State approaching, tensions are rising as a group of youths, known as "ABDUL NINGI BOYS BAUCHI," has publicly criticized Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, for what they describe as unfulfilled promises made during his 2023 election campaign.
The youths, led by Sule Dogo, have voiced their growing frustration, accusing Senator Ningi of neglecting them since his victory in the 2023 elections. In a statement, they accused the Senator of failing to deliver on the pledges he made to them, leaving them to struggle without the promised support.
“We stood by him during his campaign, believing that he would fulfill his promises. But since his victory, we have seen no action or support. Instead, we have been left to fend for ourselves,” said Sule Dogo, leader of the group.
The youths’ concerns primarily revolve around unmet expectations for economic and social development initiatives, including youth programs and job opportunities that were supposed to be launched under the Senator’s guidance. According to them, the promises made to improve their livelihoods have not materialized, leading to a sense of betrayal.
The group has issued a stern warning to Senator Ningi, threatening that if he fails to provide the promised support, he should abandon his 2027 Governorship aspirations. They argue that their patience has run out, and they are no longer willing to back a leader who has not honored his commitments.
"If Senator Ningi does not step up and assist us as promised, we will have no choice but to distance ourselves from him. His ambitions for 2027 will be irrelevant if he cannot show us the respect and support we deserve," said Dogo.
At the time of this report, all attempts to reach Senator Ningi for comment have been unsuccessful. His office has not responded to requests for clarification on the matter, leaving many questions unanswered.
The youths are now calling for intervention from other political leaders and stakeholders to address their concerns before the situation escalates further. With political tensions mounting, this development could have serious consequences for Senator Ningi’s political career. His prospects in the upcoming Governorship race may be in jeopardy if the discontent among his supporters grows.
Political analysts in Bauchi State are warning that failing to resolve these grievances could lead to a loss of support for the Senator, potentially costing him the opportunity to contest for the Governorship position in 2027.
As the situation unfolds, all eyes will be on Senator Ningi to determine whether he will address the concerns of the "ABDUL NINGI BOYS BAUCHI" or risk further alienating his base of support ahead of the critical elections. The coming weeks may determine the course of his political future.
