NAUTH WELCOMES NEW LEADERSHIP: HON. ALI BUKAR DALORI ASSUMES OFFICE AS BOARD CHAIRMAN

Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) has welcomed its new Board Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, who has formally taken office, marking the beginning of a new era in the hospital's history . 

Dalori has reiterated his commitment to upholding the institution's tradition of excellence in healthcare delivery. In his familiarization speech, he expressed his honor in serving as the Chairman of the Board of an institution that has made a lasting impact in the medical field.

Dalori acknowledged his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and emphasized the President's commitment to ensuring access to affordable and quality healthcare. He noted that achieving this goal is impossible without the retention of skilled and motivated professionals.

The Chairman outlined his top three agenda as the welfare, well-being, and motivation of all staff. He stressed the importance of concentrating on the needs of doctors, nurses, and all medical personnel to achieve a world-class healthcare system.

Prof. Joseph Ugboaja, Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, expressed his excitement about having Dalori on board, citing his wealth of experience and leadership expertise as invaluable in taking the hospital to the next level. The management and staff of NAUTH welcome Dalori and look forward to working with him to achieve excellence in healthcare delivery.

In his speech, Dalori concluded by expressing his desire to learn, collaborate, and build lasting relationships with the hospital's staff and management. He looks forward to working together to take NAUTH to greater heights. This sentiment was echoed by Ugboaja, who praised Dalori's commitment to excellence.

As part of his efforts to build relationships with the community, Dalori paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness Igwe Dr. Daniel Udoji - Obi Oraeite, the ancient Kingdom of Anumanu. During the visit, Dalori discussed areas of interest that will promote the progress of the hospital, including community health initiatives, healthcare infrastructure development, and human resource capacity building.

The Igwe of Anumanu commended Dalori on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the hospital to greater heights. He assured Dalori of the kingdom's support and cooperation in his efforts to improve healthcare delivery in the state. Dalori thanked the Igwe for his warm reception and assured him of his commitment to working closely with the community.

Dalori's visit to the Igwe underscores his commitment to building strong relationships with the community and its leaders. His determination to make NAUTH a model healthcare institution in the country is evident in his actions and words. As he settles into his new role, all eyes are on Dalori to see the impact he will make.

The hospital's achievements under the leadership of Prof. Ugboaja are noteworthy, including the establishment of a Regional Radio-Diagnostic Center, which is expected to reverse medical tourism in the Southeast region.
