The North-East Coalition of Support Groups has distance themselves from the plan nationwide protest described it as wrong move considering the nation current multidimensional challenges ranging from security and economy.

Speaking on behalf of the groups on Wednesday, Hon. Yazid Inuwa MK Bauchi, Director General (DG) calls for national prayers by the citizens maintaining that only dialogue between groups and Government can bring lasting solutions to the concerns raised. 

The group also applauded the leadership qualities of the Malam Musa Umar Yashi, Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs, North-East Development Commission (NEDC) during the nation trying times. They promised to implore all machineries within their disposal to call on other youths groups to embrace dialogue rather protest in the midst of the current plights.

NORTH-EAST COALITION OF SUPPORT GROUPS DISTANCES SELF FROM NATIONWIDE PROTESTS, CALLS FOR NATIONAL INTERFAITH PRAYERS.

Hon. Yazid Inuwa MK Bauchi, Director General (DG) of the aforementioned platform distanced his members across the six northeastern states –Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe states – enjoyed all well-meaning Nigerians to embark upon nationwide interfaith prayers to reconcile with their creator, instead of engaging in an ‘early morning’ ill-advised nationwide protests. The DG made the call in a press briefing at the conference hall of the federal secretariat Bauchi.

The DG maintained that time is unripped enough to engage the one year old President Bola Tinubu's administration that stumbled over a multifaceted Nigerians enigmatic challenges in the threshold. However, Hon. Yazid MK reiterated that the government is dare need of fervent prayers at this trying moment not protests that are tantamount to truncating the country's relatively peaceful and serene atmosphere. 

The humanitarian giant strides of Malam Musa Umar Yashi, Executive Director, Humanitarian Affairs, North-East Development Commission (NEDC) needs to be reciprocated by the impoverished northeastern people, which perhaps, deems incumbent for the group to extend an olive branch to Malam Musa Yashi in soliciting for his usual palliative measures at this current moment, a time when the country is in a crossroad of a turning point.```
