Group threaten protest over Bodejo's illegal detention.

Group has threaten peaceful protest over
illegal and unconstitutional detention of Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, the president of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.

The group under the aegis of Fulani Youth Association of Nigeria(FUYAN), made the disclosure in a statement during an interactive session with newsmen on Saturday morning in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State.

They accused the Nigerian Army of constitutional and illegal detention of Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo citing provisions of the law and call for his release.

According to the Convener of the group, Ambassador Mohammed Tasiu Suleiman said the Constitution of Nigeria has made provisions for lawful and peaceful protest in the nation's capital.

The association lamented that despite the pivotal role played by Bodejo that ensured victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general elections, he’s being treated with disdain.

Our leader, is a peace loving Nigerian and has been contributing immensely to nation political stability and has been a stepping stone to the emergence of President Tinubu's administration.

According to the group,He used his wealth of experience, resources and energy in canvassing support and votes for the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the 2023 presidential election. We are shock that same Bodejo was arrested by men of the Nigerian Army and kept in custody for days now without given fair hearing.

Is this how the ruling party reward hardwok and loyalty? This clearly shows that the present administration has no iota of love or regard for Nigerians from other ethnic groups of the country other than their own.

Since the  arrest of Alhaji (Dr) Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, at his residence in Tudun Wada, we have been mocked, called all sort of names because we stood firm, mobilized and ensure victory for the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).

Today, barely few months after the election, we are reaping nothing good rather than illegal detention of our innocent and patriotic leader,” FUYAN, lamented further.

They alleged that despite the atrocities committed by Amotekun in Southwest, the present administration has “looked the other way”.

We fulanis are very peaceful and law abiding citizens of Nigeria. That’s why when our leader was arrested, none of us took to street in protest or did anything unlawful,” the statement, added.

Bodejo had been arrested recently in connection to the creation of a security outfit, Nomad Vigilante Group. The event held on January 17 at the City Square, Lafia and had in attendance representatives of the country’s conventional security agencies who admonished the group to operate within the existing laws.

During the inauguration, Bodejo said that the primary objective of the group is to help secure the livelihoods of farmers and herders, aid in information gathering and intelligence to the Nigerian security agencies of criminals and criminalities within the local communities as well as encourage peace in rural communities. The group added.
