2023: Why Adamawa South needs Engr. Numan, By: Mr. Emmanuel Yero.

As Adamawa south are in Search of leadership in the next phase of elections certainly Engr. Adamu Ismaila Numan is remain the only option to change the narratives.Born in Numan, on the 5th October 1956, Engr. Adamu Ismaila Numan attended both primary and secondary school; St. Patrick primary, Native Authority primary school, Numan1964 to 1970 and the famous Vilanova Secondary school Numan, 1971 to 1975, respectively.

His passion for education took him to North East college of Art science, Maiduguri, from 1975 to 1977 to 1980.He worked for and obtained a bachelor's Degree in civil engineering from Ahmadu Bello university, Zaria, from 1977 to 1980.

He returned to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1984 and graduated in 1986 with Masters of science of Degree in structural engineering. He did a post graduate diploma in mangement and a Masters in business administration, from 1998-1999 and 1999 to 2001 respectively, all in the famous Ahmadu Bello university, Zaria.

Engr. Adamu Ismaila Numan performed his National Youth Service in Owetri, Imo State, where he worked with the IMO state new capital Development Authority from August 1980 to July 1981. After his service year, he secured employment with the Fed. Capital Development Authority (FCDA) Abuja, in Feb. 1982 and rose to the rank Zenith, untill his retirement on the 5th of October, 2006.

He started out as Engineer 1 and was promoted to principal Engineer, assistant Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, Asst. Director, Deputy Dir., Director, from where he was appointed Chief of Staff, (COS) to the Minister, FCT, in 2011, he was appointed as the Executive Secretary,  FCDA. He held that exalted position untill his retirement,  on the attainment of the statutory age of 60, in 2016.

During his time in government service, Engr. Adamu Ismaila Numan, held various responsibilities and participated in various technical committees, chairing some of them, that exposed him to different aspects of governance and project execution providing him opportunities to work with diverse groups of people,  thus, making him the highly exposed, tolerant and open minded person that he is today. Some of these include:

He was Resident Engineer in charge of Gwgwalada Housing Estate 1982 to 1983,Resident Engineer in charge development of Adokoro District infrastructure 1986 to Dec. 1986, Assistant chief Engineer in charge of the development of Maitama District infrastructure 1987 to 1989 and many more to his archives.

We are optimistic and confidence that if elected Senator,he will consolidate on the following and ensure that he make a difference. His vast knowledge and experience in Human Management, Human capacity building, resource and project management will ensure sound legislation and attractions of so many projects to the Zone. 

This is a Man that has gannered connections and relationship across all Geo political zones of Nigeria, and the various ethnic nationalities in Adamawa state, into purposefully and productively serving the great people of his zone.He will offer himself to render conscientious and inclusive  service to make the Adamawa state senatorial zone the most progress zone in Nigeria God willing in 2023.

This is a man what has Secured countless permanent and Pensionable Appointments to the Youths across Adamawa State in respective of religion or tribe. He has Empowered teaming of Youths and women groups out start up capital and many are today employers of labour instead of job seekers.

He has Paid for school fees to the less privileged within his Senatorial zone and the State in general with emphasis on developing education in the zone and the State at large. He has constructed both hand pumps and motorized solar boreholes in the zone  will ensure sustainability of these loudable initiatives if he became Senator.

He is a nationalist and a bridge builder ,Mr Empowerment and a turn around expert with great human cordiality that if elected will bring to the table of the needy as Senator Adamawa South.
