SHEHU GABAM CALLS FOR MORE PROACTIVE MEASURES TO END BANDTRY/SECURITY IN THE COUNTRY.

Enough of this bloodshed..

Nigerians are hardly seen on the streets protesting governement decisions, policies and programs with in human faces but certainly the failures of the successive governments left them with no option other than to take the streets to protest . What sparked the protest ? Why in Katsina not Lagos or any state of the South? . The answers to this questions are very simple, Nigerians seem to be so divided along tribes , ecthnic nationalities, religion and regions which make it so difficult for us to agree with the current realities that what is happening in Katsina and other parts of the North  will have psychological and negative effect on the entire country in the long run .

We are all witnessed how it started and how it ended in 2015 when security situations were worsening under former President Jonathan and Nigerians then took to the streets across-the-board to protest the insecurity in   the North East region which paved the way for the present governement to emerged. People then were confident with strong hope that it will be manage and curtail under a retired military general,former Minister and former head of State. Nigerians were optimistic that his wealth equipped knowledge in the nation security will counts having been in face to face with gang of criminals perpetrating semilar crimes like the Mai Tasine of 1980's.

In 2015 , President Muhammadu Buhari won overwhelmingly in Katsina State with over 1.3m people amidst cheers though as at that time there was only card carrying crimes in the North west with the exception of Kaduna that has a long history of farmers/herders disputes .Unfortunate at it is after the handing over the cattle rustling escalated from Birnin-gwari to oother parts the North West .States such as Zanfara, Kebbi,Sokoto and Katsina states were affected by the activities of  this mindless groups of terrorist militias called bandits and since then the govenment of President Muhammadu Buhari began toface semilar security challenges like the former President.

Many Nigerians particularly in the North began to add their voices on the need to urgently take  proactive measures to end the activities of these mindless elements at the time the country and the North are trying to forget the bad experience of  Boko Haram insurgents in the North East. The silent and misconceptions by those who are in power make it very difficult for Mr President to understand the terrain he is driving this country into particularly the Northern region where he enjoyed an overwhelming support before and after his election. The culture of percieving numerous calls that is mostly affliated to party differences where those who oppose and contructively criticised governement are regarded as oppositions without given an emphasis to their prices of advice. This amount other things caused the North this mess as against the expectations of to many that the Savior is finally on the board and Aso Rock will wielding up hard decisions , programs and policies of governement that will derived this country forward .

Not to long that Nigerians come to alligned themselves with the truth particularly here in to North where blind submission to those in power and the blamed game that almost override the decision of the governement become tools of governance. The North has been killed in their numbers and hardly do the govenment act beyond press statements until recently when in Katsina State some gang of criminals are been paraded by the commissioner of police. The insults by Presidential media aides with reference to the recent outburst of Femi to Northern elders are few among too many cases that the North perceived as a conspiracy against their collective will each time they speak and air their grievances .

I am a Nigerian and a Northerner who feel irritated watching his fellow people been killed with little or no governement action to bring the culprits to book .I still reiterate my call on Mr President to urgently act by not allowing some of his aides to throw him in serious phenomenon of standing before the Almighty Allah to account his deeds at the time Femis are no where to be found neither do they have an edge of defending deciets and render insults on victims of their failures.The protest in Katsina today tells many lies of Femi and his likes that all is not well in the North particularly in the home state of Mr President because they knew and loved Mr President far better than he does .

Finally, I must commend the Nigerian police Katsina State chapter for job well done for  arresting and parading some kingpins who confessed of participating in the killings in Faskari local government of Katsina State. This will open another wide dimensional page for the security agencies to traced hideout of other criminal gangs of their likes minds ,their source of funding and to help them in furnishing our securities with well to do equipments of the 21st century .Those who think they love Mr President should ask his people how they sacrificed for him to be where he is and it is high time for Mr President to accept the fact that long as people feel unsafe then perception is always reality .

Enough of this violence .
