The attention of the office of Hon. Ismail Haruna Dabo, the Representative of Toro Federal Constituency, has been drawn to a malicious publication by some individuals claiming to be youths from Anguwan Sarkin Hausawa area of Magama Gumau. The publication, titled "Magama Youths Issue 5-Day Ultimatum to Toro Reps Member, Hon. Dabo Over Abandoned Road, Culvert Project," is a clear case of misinformation and blackmail.

In a swift response, the Special Adviser to the Honourable Member on Media and Publicity, Suleiman Isah B10, has debunked the claims made by some youths in Magama Gumau, Toro Federal Constituency, Bauchi State, regarding the alleged abandonment of a road and culvert project.

It is on record that Hon. Dabo has awarded the construction of three major township roads in Magama Gumau and Tilden Fulani, with both works ongoing. Recently, a new project has been awarded in Rishi, all in Toro Federal Constituency. This demonstrates the lawmaker's commitment to developing his constituency.

The claim that the road and culvert project in Magama Gumau has been abandoned is far from the truth. Road construction follows certain processes that are adhered to for quality and durability. The project is ongoing, and any delays are due to unforeseen circumstances, not neglect.

We urge the general public to disregard the malicious publication and its ultimatum. The youths' threat to take matters into their own hands by refilling the culvert is reckless and could pose a greater risk to lives and property.
