NANS President Visits OGFZA MD, Seeks Partnership for Economic Growth

Abuja, Nigeria — The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Olushola Oladoja GCNS, led a delegation on a landmark advocacy visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), Mr. Bamanga Usman Jada, at the agency’s headquarters. This visit was part of NANS' effort to strengthen collaboration and strategic partnerships with key government institutions in promoting national development, economic diversification, and youth empowerment.The NANS President commended the OGFZA MD for his exceptional leadership, transparency, and dedication in driving Nigeria’s industrialization agenda. He praised the agency's commitment under Mr. Jada’s stewardship in creating a business-friendly environment that attracts foreign direct investment and supports job creation for young Nigerians.
"We are here today to recognize the remarkable work being done at OGFZA under your leadership," the NANS President stated. "Your consistency in promoting transparency, accountability, and development in Nigeria's oil and gas free zones is highly commendable. As Nigerian students and future leaders, we remain loyal and committed to supporting your vision."
The OGFZA MD expressed deep appreciation for the visit and congratulated both the President and Senate President of NANS on their recent election victories during the NANS Convention. He noted that their emergence as leaders reflects the confidence Nigerian students have in their ability to deliver.
Mr. Jada assured the NANS delegation of OGFZA’s continued support, emphasizing that his doors are always open to Nigerian students. "Our doors are open to NANS," he said. "We are ready to work with you to ensure young people benefit from the opportunities being created in the industrial and energy sectors."
The meeting was attended by other senior management staff of OGFZA, who welcomed the NANS delegation and reiterated the Authority’s readiness to engage students in capacity-building initiatives, internship programs, and policy dialogue. This collaboration aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the energy sector.
The NANS President and the OGFZA MD discussed potential areas of collaboration, including youth-centric projects and initiatives that could benefit students and young Nigerians.
