APC Governorship Candidate Ukachukwu Receives Massive Support

Anambra The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has received a significant boost in his campaign with the defection of 36,000 members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the APC. The group, known as Sustenance of Faith in Good Governance (SOFIG), expressed their commitment to supporting Ukachukwu's governorship ambition. SOFIG, which has a registered membership of 36,000, donated N150 million to Ukachukwu's campaign.
The group's National President, Dr. Kingsley Ezekwelu, stated that SOFIG was formed to restore faith in governance and promote unity, responsible leadership, and good governance in Anambra State. He expressed the group's preparedness to take Ukachukwu's message to every family and hamlet in the state. The Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Mike Ejiogu Duru, commended SOFIG for their support and described Ukachukwu as a man with the Midas Touch to take Anambra State to her infinite glory.
In a show of solidarity, about 5,000 former state government appointees, who were allegedly shoved aside with arrears of salaries and emoluments, joined the APC and endorsed Ukachukwu's governorship ambition. The APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Iyom Senator Uche Ekwunife, commended SOFIG for creating a unique political brand and environment in Anambra State. She praised Ukachukwu as a passionate personality committed to a better Anambra State.
The Anambra State Chairman of APC, Chief Basil Ejidike, appreciated SOFIG's efforts in shaping the political future of Anambra State and donated N2 million to the group. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama, SA to the Deputy National Chairman North, expressed confidence in Prince Ukachukwu's ability to win the governorship election in Anambra State, citing his acceptability.
Ukachukwu expressed his preparedness to run a responsible and responsive administration as governor of the state, focusing on practical issues beneficial to all citizens. He commended SOFIG for their unflinching support and appealed to the group and all other supporters to continue backing him to turn things around for the betterment of Anambra State.
The APC governorship candidate's message of good governance and responsiveness resonated with the crowd, who showed enthusiasm and excitement during the event. The massive turnout and support from various groups and individuals demonstrate Ukachukwu's growing popularity in the state.
The event was marked by generous donations, with Dr. Mike Ejiogu Duru donating N21 million to the 21 LGA chapters of SOFIG, N3 million to the group, and N30 million to the founders. Other notable donations came from Dr. Anthony Ezekwugo, High Chief John Bosco Onunkwo, and the Anambra State chapter of APC.
