From: Abdullahi Isa Bature
The Speaker Northern Youths Assembly of Nigeria Rt.Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has along other groups endorsed the former Governor of Nasarawa State and now Senator Representing Nasarawa North in the 9th Senate for APC National Chairman. The Speaker spoke on behalf of other groups after similar activities to rally supports behind Almakura National Chairmanship as one of party founding father in April in Gombe.
The speaker made this Known today while addressing Journalist at the International Conference centre venue of the Progressive Youths conference for the rulling All Progressive Congress in Abuja.
He said ,the time has come for the APC across the country to take a rightful decision ahead of the scheduled National Convention. He described Almakura as the most credible to lead the party and return the rulling party to wining ways in the next generation elections.
The Speaker described him as the best candidate for the office of the National Chairman of the Party been him one of the founding fathers of the party who won his first term and unseated the former rulling party in Nasarawa State in 2011 under the then Congress of Progressive change (CPC).
As the Progressive Youths of the party ,We will will not support anyone who have once been in People Democratic Party (PDP) and are now in the rulling APC. Our major problems in the party is because in 2014 many parties regrouped to formed the APC which hindered many policies and programs of the current government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The party delegates must give preferencial support to People who were part and parcel of the the formation of the party right from the beginning and Almakura led the struggles to unseat the then rulling party PDP as the only Governor who won the Governorship under CPC which metamorphosed into what is called APC today and it is time to reward him as a founding father. He concluded.
