Northern Youths Assembly calls on Northerners to avoid South East region as their safety is not guaranteed.

The National Speaker of Northern Youth Assembly - NYA Rt.Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has condemned in strong terms the incessant harrasement and intimidation of Northerners by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South East region of the country.

The Speaker was speaking while host to our correspondent John Isaac in his Residence in Bauchi this evening. He said in a video that went viral shows members of IPOB distributing onions in trailer that was transported from the Northern part which is a clear intimidation and harrasement of citizens in the country.

He call on all other Northerners to halt their travel plans to the South East to avoid been unleash by the terror group that has now kept the region to a standstill in the last few days. We are still mourning the shocking killing of a prominent Northerner,intact a very close associate and confidant of Senator Hope Uzodimma the Executive Governor of Imo State.

The speaker described the death of Late Ahmed Gulak and subsequent intimidation, harrasement and killings of Northerners in some part of South East we barbaric and uncall for thereby calling on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency take proactive measures to protect lives and properties of Nigerians at all cost.

I am using this medium to call on the Northerners particularly the Youths who travelled from the Northern part down to the South East to put their trip on hold pending on when things improve. No one can guarantee the safety of the Northerners in the South East because the IPOB has been allow to weaken the Government institutions and are now resorting to killings and destructions of public properties particularly that of the Northerners.He concluded.
